(Telecompaper) Spanish operator Cellnex Telecom reported revenues of EUR 241 million in the first quarter of 2019, up 11 percent year on year and in line with recent quarterly results. The operator's EBITDA also climbed 11 percent to EUR 159 million, with its net result coming in at a neutral EUR 0 million compared to losses of EUR 37 million in the first quarter of 2018. Cellnex's recent EUR 1.2 billion capital hike was immediately used to finance the expansion of its European telecommunications infrastructure portfolio via the addition of a total of 10,700 sites in France, Italy and Switzerland.
