Chicago Tonight: By using a process similar to photosynthesis in plants, Chicago area scientists have taken carbon dioxide, the most prevalent greenhouse gas emitted from human activity, and turned it into a usable fuel source.
The study, published July 29 in the academic journal Science, could help solve two critical environmental problems: global warming and our reliance on burning fossil fuels, which in turn contributes to climate change.
