China Unicom's 9-month profit jumps nearly 12% on cost control

(Telecompaper) China Unicom posted service revenue of CNY 198.53 billion for the first nine months of 2019, which represents a decline of 0.7 percent year-on-year. EBITDA amounted to CNY 73.14 billion, up by 10.4 percent year-on-year, while profit jumped 11.9 percent year-on-year to RMB 9.82 billion, boosted by effective cost control, the company said.
