China's September Auto Sales Rise 6.4% on Subsidies

Passenger-vehicle sales in China rose 6.4 percent last month as the government resumed subsidizing purchases of fuel-efficient vehicles. Wholesale deliveries of cars, multipurpose and sport-utility vehicles climbed to 1.696 million units in September, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said today.
