Chinese demand drive rise in UK car sales

Sales of British-made cars to China have increased sevenfold since 2009 amid booming demand across Asia for luxury brands such as Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce. Figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders show 137,410 UK-built cars were exported to China in 2014 - up 14.5 per cent on 2013 and from 19,417 in 2009.
