Concerned with the effects of those changes, the newly formed Cannabis Advocates Alliance will meet to discuss the matter from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Louden Nelson Community Center, 301 Center St., Room 5. Whole Foods Market Capitola, 1701 41st Ave., is getting behind a documentary on fishermen called “Of the Sea” by donating 5 percent of sales Wednesday to the Arts Council of Santa Cruz County to finish editing the film and bring it to California audiences. Filmmaker Mischa Hedges of Berkeley and his team have been capturing stories about fishermen, seafood and sustainability along the California coast, including Santa Cruz and Monterey.
