Comcast shuffles execs, creates new mobile division - report

(Telecompaper) Comcast is shuffling executives and reorganising operations, Multichannel News reported, citing sources familiar with the company. Chief network officer John Schanz and cable CFO officer Cathy Avgiris will move to new roles, while sales and marketing operations chief Greg Butz will head up a new mobile unit. Rick Lang, who had been senior VP of marketing and sales for Comcast's Central Division, will take over Butz' marketing role. As president of Comcast Mobile, Butz will report to Comcast Cable CEO Neil Smit. While sources familiar with the company said Comcast remains in "test mode" for wireless, Butz' appointment helps formalize the company's wireless commitment.
