CommScope in talks to acquire Arris - report

(Telecompaper) CommScope is in talks to acquire set-top box maker Arris International, in a bid to expand its product range, people familiar with the matter told Reuters. The report sent Arris' share price nearly 7 percent higher on 24 October, giving the company a value of USD 4.3 billion.
