We are looking for a Concurrent Design Facility Technical Author E2 to join our Modis Aerospace team, working onsite at the European Space Agency in the Netherlands. Modis Aerospace is a specialized Engineering consultancy with more than 30 years experience providing aerospace Engineers to our key partners in The Netherlands. Modis is a longstanding business partner of the European Space Agency ESA, with more than 120 employees recruited from across Europe currently supporting ESAs activities. Specific tasks to be performed Conduct research and experimentation on new technologies for reporting and documentation distribution of different multimedia e.g. update of templates in liaison with the Share point platform development for automation of processes and reporting, including management of technical documents Narrow casting solutions ensuring capturing of information for reporting purposes Support the ISO9001 activities at Department level, in liaison with the Department Head, including preparation of ISO9001 management meetings and management of procedures and other infrastructure and support documentation Assist the support to CDF infrastructure maintenance and evolution. General tasks to be performed assisting the study teams to compile, edit and maintain for each study the reference and output documentation comprising as a minimum Reference documentation. Study presentation material. ESA programme documentation inputs. CDF study technical and cost reports. preparation, editing and maintenance of CDF support documentation and document tools, including inputs to the CDF Web site. Detailed CDF Technical Author tasks Individual CDF engineering specialists are responsible for reporting their own area of expertise during and following the assessment studies the CDF Technical Author has an important role in ensuring efficient and accurate inputs to this process. The CDF Technical Author acts as the review secretary and the provider of meeting minutes during the course of CDF studies. This enables a close interface with the studies and their inputs and outputs. The consistency of document templates used by the engineering specialist to prepare their study report inputs. The CDF Technical Author will prepare and maintain the required CDF document templates according to the standard required by the customer and the CDF study team lead for the efficient compilation of reports. Preparation and editing, maintenance and publication of procedures and manuals instrumental to the effective operation of all aspects of the CDF. Recording, archiving and retrieval of CDF support documentation, procedures and manuals, study reference, input and output documentation. Production, handling, collection and distribution of multimedia material related to CDF direct e.g. studies, presentations andor indirect e.g. SECESA workshop events. Development and maintenance of the CDF related Web site. To successfully perform the above mentioned tasks, the following background experience is required Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Multiyear authoring proven experience in technical domains Excellent command of English language Technical background, with focus on space design, will be an asset System Engineering, IT, SW development, preferably AeroSpace related will be an asset Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office automation software and internet software applications Knowledge of and experience with new technology for management of documentation and reporting Ability to interface and liaise with technical personnel Ability to work independently and to establish good working relations with ESA is essential Familiarity with Share Point and with graphic software is a distinct advantage.
