Damage to utility pole closes section of Route 156 in Waterford Saturday

Waterford A section of Route 156 from Gardiners Wood Road to Spithead Road is expected to be closed for most of the day, police said this morning. Crews from Connecticut Light & Power are on the scene repairing damage to a utility pole that was struck by a vehicle early this morning.
