BusinessGreen: Emissions from new cars sold in the UK dropped more than five per cent during 2012 to 132.7 grams of CO2 per kilometre, as the European fleet continued its downward carbon trajectory.
Average new car emissions across the EU were down almost four per cent to 132.3g/km, according to preliminary analysis by JATO Dynamics, as reductions across 22 of 23 countries and most major auto manufacturers edged the bloc closer to its goal of delivering average emissions of below 130g/km by 2015.
