Deutsche Telekom confirms plans to launch own smart speaker in H1 2018

(Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom has confirmed it's developing voice control software and its own smart speaker. With the command 'Hello Magenta' - referring to the German operator's marketing colour - users will be able to control Telekom services around the home as well as other connected devices. The smart speaker is planned to launch on the German market in the first half of 2018.
