Diageo swaps Bushmills for tequila brand

Drinks group Diageo has swapped Bushmills Irish whiskey for Don Julio tequila with Mexican company Casa Cuervo, the company confirmed today. The Irish whiskey brand is understood to be worth less than the Don Julio tequilas: while Bushmills sales earned Diageo Stg57m last year, Don Julio was worth Stg105m.
