Able to sense red, green, blue, and white (RGBW) light, SMT VEML6040 offers 16-bit resolution for each color channel and incorporates photo-pin-diodes and signal processing IC. I²C bus interface simplifies operation, while Filtron™ technology provides ambient light spectral detection from 0.0056 lx to 11.7 klx and sensitivity with responses close to human eye. All circuitry needed for color balancing, backlight control, and color temperature measurement is included in one package.
