Drilling activity continues to slow down in Eagle Ford, Permian Basin

Crude oil prices managed to stay above $45 per barrel this week but drilling activity continues to slow down in both the Eagle Ford Shale-producing region just south of San Antonio and the Permian Basin in West Texas. Data released early Friday afternoon from the Baker Hughes Rig Count shows slight decreases in activity in both Texas and the United States.
