Duke Energy exec 'optimistic' that the Lee nuclear plant will be built

Duke Energy is watching the construction of the V.C. Summer Nuclear Station and Plant Vogtle to learn how to contain costs in construction of its proposed Lee Nuclear Station. Construction of four nuclear reactors in South Carolina and Georgia will allow Duke Energy to learn how to build its proposed Lee Nuclear Station more economically and more efficiently, a Duke executive said this week.
