EPA Proposes Stronger Standards for people applying pesticides.

2015-08-10 14:31:10| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today

To reduce harm from misapplication of toxic pesticides and ensure consistent protection among states, U.S. EPA proposes stronger standards for those who apply restricted-use pesticides.  People who apply such pesticides will be required to be at least 18 years old, and certifications would have to be renewed every 3 years. Additional efforts include requiring additional specialized licensing for certain methods and training for those working under supervision of certified applicators.
