EPA announced sixth annual list of top 25 U.S. metropolitan areas with the most Energy Star certified buildings. Energy Star certified buildings, including office buildings, schools, hotels, and retail stores, use an average of 35% less energy and are responsible for 35% less carbon dioxide emissions than typical buildings. Top 10 cities on the list include: Los Angeles; Washington, D.C.; Atlanta; New York; San Francisco; Chicago; Dallas; Denver; Philadelphia; and Houston.
