The system is moving west-northward into less favorable environmental conditions, and its chance of development is decreasing. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days...low...10 percent. South of Southwestern Mexico: An area of low pressure could form several hundred miles offshore of southwestern Mexico late this week.
