Some gradual development of this system is possible, and a tropical depression could form this weekend or early next week as it moves generally westward at 10 to 15 mph across the far western portion of the eastern Pacific and into the Central Pacific basin.* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.* Formation chance through 7 days...medium...60 percent.Central East Pacific:An area of low pressure is forecast to form offshore of the southwestern coast of Mexico early next week.
