Some gradual development of this system is possible, and a tropical depression could form this weekend or early next week as it moves generally westward at 10 to 15 mph across the Central Pacific basin.* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...50 percent.* Formation chance through 7 days...medium...60 percent.South of Southwestern Mexico:An area of low pressure is forecast to form offshore of the southwestern coast of Mexico early next week.
