Ecopetrol SA , Colombia 's state-owned oil producer, said third-quarter profit fell 41 percent on a decline in crude production and prices. Net income dropped to 2.28 trillion pesos , from 3.86 trillion pesos a year earlier, the Bogota-based company said today in a statement .
