Based on FlipCore technology, Model BMC150 combines 3-axis geomagnetic sensor and 3-axis accelerometer in single package. Both sensors form logical and functional unit, since g-vector generated by accelerometer is required to calculate tilt compensation for azimuth data produced by geomagnetic sensor. Measuring 2.2 x 2.2 mm with power consumption as low as 190 µA, compass offers measurement range of ±1300 µT/axis with low noise of 0.3 µT, suitable for smartphones and tablet computers.
