Eliminating cranking problems caused by weak or discharged batteries, 16 lb ESM ULTRA 31/900 assumes starting responsibility for class 3–6 medium-duty trucks. Ultracapacitor-based module provides 900 cold cranking amperes (CCA) or 3 sec crank and enables reliable starting of up to 9.9 L diesel engines from -40 to +149°F. No-acid, lead-free energy storage solution also allows extensive use of lift-gates and buckets while engine is off without impacting truck starting capability.
