Exclusive: A.R. Rahman Sets First U.S. Tour in Five Years

A.R. Rahman will start his first North American tour since 2010 in Huntington, N.Y., at the Paramount on March 21. The Oscar-winning composer will include material from throughout his 20-year career on the 13-city tour, which will stop May 28 at the Beacon Theatre in New York and Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on June 10. Titled A.R. Rahman: The Intimate Concert Tour and sponsored by JBL, tickets go on sale March 6, with VIP packages available March 4. Venues for the upcoming tour are smaller than places he played in 2010 -- such as O2 arena in London and the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif.
