Expanding pig crop boosts pork production forecast

The USDA projected total U.S. red meat and poultry production to surpass 2015 levels this year. As reported in the May World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) report, the agency forecasted total meat and poultry at 97.178 billion pounds for 2016, 1.6 billion higher than last year. read more
