Exxon gas marketing director Stuart Jeffries seeks backing for Bass Strait bloc

New gas supplies will more easily be brought into Australia's east coast market if BHP Billiton and ExxonMobil are allowed to continue selling their Bass Strait product as a bloc, says Exxon's Australian gas marketing director Stuart Jeffries. With the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission investigating the east coast gas grid, the long-standing practice for joint venture partners to sell their gas in a partnership is facing rare scrutiny.
