By using local detection technology to detect optical signals passing through fiber, FITEL® Right-Bend™ Tool identifies bend-insensitive optical fibers. Unit works by clamping onto fiber and inducing safe macrobend, enabling small amount of light to escape. By collecting and analyzing light, instrument detects presence of network traffic, test tones, and continuous wave signals and can determine direction of signal flow. For maximum battery life, instrument features automatic power-down circuit. This story is related to the following:Test and Measuring InstrumentsSearch for suppliers of: Signal Analyzers
