Filterless camera sensor tech from Panasonic might be a low-light breakthrough

The nearly ubiquitous Bayer array has stubbornly resisted all attempts to unseat it as the king of sensor design approaches. Panasonic is the latest to challenge its supremacy, with a diffraction based solution that allows it to utilize all the light hitting a sensor.
