Financial Administrator mf The Challenge We are looking for a qualified Financial Administrator mf, being located at the customer site ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany. The Financial Administrator will carry out the following specific duties under the appropriate supervision and control of a Finance Staff verification and processing of invoices and Advances in compliance with the Agencys accounting policy, financial regulations and Instructions, including formal checks if document is to be considered an invoice and if an eventual VAT amount invoiced is justified correctness of vendor master and bank data for invoices without prior commitment identification of correct account assignment posting of invoices, deblocking after verification against available Advances and validation of payment against Payment Lists posting and approvalunblocking of Advance Payment Requests Down Payments in SRMFI control and clearing of Down Payments as per OffsetPlan ProcuretoPay verification on the correctness of contract actions implemented in the Financial system, including the account assignment and other financial information compliance checks with IPSAS the Payment clauses and conditions in the draft contract consistency check of the financial part and the contract structure with the original paper version of the contract action responding to invoice queries from industry interacting with Initiating Services ESAinternally with the objective to support the synchronization and workflows of invoices and Confirmations other ad hoc tasks in the area of accounts payable as requested by management This is a fulltime position with a planned starting date of 1st of January 2015. Your Qualifications Applicants should have a short third level education e.g. Bachelor or equivalent professional qualification in Financial Administration together with at least 2 years of working experience in Finance, preferably in the area of Accounts Payable. Furthermore, the applicant should have the following qualifications good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel the successful candidate should be highly numerate, possessing an accounting background with the analytical skills required to operate a complex accounting system good communication and interpersonal skills A good knowledge of English or French. Fluency in German is an asset The position requires a great deal of independence and selfmotivation. The candidate should be able to work with little supervision, but also be able to contribute to the team effort.
