FirstEnergy officials announced today that, beginning Friday, the utility company will offer a limited number of its customers the option to buy 100 percent wind energy-generated power at the same price as its standard power. The program, called the "Switch2Green4Free" offer, is part of the company's "The Switch is On" campaign, which is designed to promote FirstEnergy's environmental achievements and to demonstrate the benefits of green energy, officials said in a written statement.
