National Football League (NFL), Under Armour, GE, and NIST announced 5 winners of Head Health Challenge III, which supports discovery, design, and development of advanced materials that better absorb or dissipate impact. Winners were Alba Technic, LLC; Charles Owen Inc.; Corsair Innovations; collaboration between Dynamic Research Inc and 6D Helmets LLC; as well as University of Michigan. Each will receive $250,000 to advance their work in materials development.
