Number of flutes on CoroTap™ 100 – KM reduces force on each cutting edge, and flute shape helps produce thin and small chips to solve chip breaking issues in machining cast iron/steel materials with 150–190 HB hardness. Back chamfer lets tap thread deeply while reducing torque and chipping. Also, thread and chamfer relief reduce contact between tap and component. D210 grade, combination of powder steel substrate and titanium aluminum nitride with multi-layer coating, promotes wear resistance.
