Shares of Flotek Industries Inc. jumped over 40% higher on Thursday, July 23. The company closed Wednesday at $12.79 and reached a high of $18.50 on July 23. After the market's close on Wednesday, Flotek had released its Q2 2015 earnings results which reversed a downward trend found in its sequential falling revenue amidst one of the most difficult periods of oil production in the past decade. As global oil prices have starkly fallen over the past year, oil service companies have been pinched with declining operational results.
