William Freeman, technical consultant to the Resilient Floor Covering Institute, discussed institute’s alternative to Health Product Declarations, during the AAMA Summer Conference held June 1–4. Product Transparency Declarations provide transparency based on exposure and risk rather than hazard, while also providing labeling and warning requirements. While HPDs focus on raw materials in a product, PTDs focus on finished product delivered to job site.
