GCX introduces Cloud X Fusion with Google Cloud Platform

(Telecompaper) Global Cloud Xchange (GCX), a subsidiary of Indian operator Reliance Communications (RCom),has introduced Cloud X Fusion, a product which provides enterprise grade connectivity with direct access to the Google Cloud Platform. The Cloud X Fusion ecosystem combined with Google Cloud Interconnect will enable users to move workloads with high network performance and security on a global scale. Company can use Ethernet or MPLS VPN to connect their on-premises network, data centre or other network resources via GCS's private network directly to Google Cloud Interconnect. The product gives connections to Google's Cloud in six locations worldwide, including Los Angeles, New York, Amsterdam, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo. GCX CEO Bill Barney said the unit has infrastructure and direct connectivity in more than 90 countries, providing mission-critical cloud connectivity from the developed markets of North America and Europe to the Emerging Markets Corridor, extending from the Middle East to Asia.
