Gildan to move textile & sewing production out of Mexico

Canadian apparel maker Gildan Activewear is to close its Mexican manufacturing operations in a move it says will affect about 1,700 employees as it shifts its sewing and textile equipment to existing facilities in Central America and the Caribbean Basin.
