Google introduces free music service for Google Assistant-powered speakers

(Telecompaper) Google has announced a free, ad-supported music service on its Google Home speakers, or other Google Assistant-powered speakers. The deal echoes Amazon's earlier launch of a free, ad-supported digital music service in the US. With Google however, YouTube Music is already available on smart speakers in the US and UK, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Japan, the Netherlands, and Austria. It will soon launch in more countries.
