(Telecompaper) Google is preparing to sell mobile services directly to customers and manage their calls and mobile data over a mobile network, three people with knowledge of the plans told The Information. The new service is expected run on Sprint and T-Mobile's networks, two people said. Google is expected to buy wholesale access to their networks and operate as a MVNO. Codenamed Nova, the project is led by Google executive Nick Fox, and a launch this year is expected. Fox looked at starting the service last fall, and some employees have already tested it, the report said.
