Government approves T-Mobile + MetroPCS merger, believes in LTE heaven

Yesterday, the FCC approved T-Mobile's bid to acquire MetroPCS. With this approval, the FCC specifically noted that the benefit of being able to launch an more powerful LTE network than its competitors was the main driver for approval.
