For our activities in ESOC, we are currently looking for a Back End System Development, Test and Validation Engineer. Main responsibilities As Back End System Development, Test and Validation Engineer you will have the following tasks and responsibilities Installation, test, validation, verification, debugging of applications relevant to the Stations Backend STC, CSMC, TMTCS, MCM, etc. Participation in SW Review Boards, Progress Meeting and Reviews with industrial Contractors Engineering support to missions during critical phases Support Stations and NDIU integration, validation, testing Support deployment and validation of applications in the ESTRACK core Stations Engineering support to SVTs, MRTs, and other missionlevel test for mission preparation. Ideal candidate Requirements Ideally you should bring a Master degree in a relevant discipline and at least 4 years of working experience. In any case, the following knowledge is required Ground station system engineering with particular focus on the backend systems STC, CSMC, TMTCS, MCM, etc. communication engineering knowledge should be also required for tasks in TCPIP UDP IEEE488 Web technology including related protocols. competence in one or more modern computer languages such as C, C, Java, UML, XML, SQL familiarity with UNIX or LINUX environments knowledge of the CORBA Standard knowledge and experience in Database administration Application procedure Important All applicants must hold a current valid work permit for Germany or be EU nationals.
