Utilizing motion control technology at high moments of inertia (725 kgm²), multipurpose IRB 8700 automatically adapts and adjusts speed to accommodate heavy/wide parts. Industrial robot, designed for maximum uptime, has one motor and one gear per robot axis. There are no gas springs; counterweight and mechanical springs are used for counter balancing. Respectively, 4.2 and 3.5 m reach configurations have nominal payload capacities of 550 and 800 kg (620 and 1,000 kg with wrist down).
