High-ranking Smucker family official resigns

Paul Smucker Wagstaff, an heir apparent to the future leadership of the J.M. Smucker Co., resigned from the company Dec. 12. His resignation, effective immediately, was accepted by the company's board of directors. Wagstaff, 45, had been with Smucker's for 18 years and is the eldest son of Susi Smucker Wagstaff, the older sister of Tim Smucker, chairman of the Smucker Co.
