FoodRecovery.org launched in 2015, sourcing small food donations from businesses for nonprofits to distribute in their communities. Today, the 501(c) recovers about 2 million pounds of food a week and passes it on to 4,000 nonprofit partners across the U.S., supported by all of 10 volunteers and a skeletal staff.
