(Telecompaper) Croatian operator Hrvatski Telekom has announced price hikes following the government's increase in spectrum fees. The government ordinance increases the annual fee for spectrum usage three-fold, meaning Hrvatski Telekom will pay HRK 138 million more annually. Since this direct increase in costs will have a negative effect on the group's investment plans, Hrvatski Telekom said has no other option but to increase its prices. These will rise for prepaid customers by 10 percent of the voucher amount, while the prices for postpaid customers will increase by HRK 8 plus VAT on a monthly basis. The price increase will be implemented from July.
