(Telecompaper) Magyar Telekom has announced that the Supreme Court of Hungary (the Curia) has upheld last September's judgement by the Metropolitan Court to annul the award of spectrum in the 900 MHz frequency band to a consortium of state-owned companies. The companies in the consortium were Magyar Posta, MFB Invest and Magyar Villamos Muvek. The Metropolitan Court judgement was issued after the local operators that took part in the auction, including Magyar Telekom, Telenor Magyarorszag and Vodafone Magyarorszag, filed petitions against the auction award decision by the vice president of the National Media and Telecommunications Authority (NMHH).
