ResponsibilitiesDuties The Engineer will provide support to the TPZG ICT Engineering Team in the delivery of ICT engineering services to multiple clients. The work shall include analysis of the requirements design, integration, validation and documentation of ICT solutions handover to operations Level 3 support for incidents and problems. Technical IT Coordination between IT and other client teams QualificationsExperience A university degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent. At least 5 years experience as IT Systems Engineer and handson Database experience, in a customer facing role. The successful candidate will have strong resultsoriented and planning capabilities, coupled with very good problemsolving skills and a pronounced customer focus. Applicants should have good communication and negotiation skills, be able to work in a diverse team environment and accomplish goals in line with team objectives. Experience operating critical IT infrastructure environments, working in mixed operating system and database environments, managing technical service transition, creation and maintenance of support documentation. Interesting to learn and dealing with modern technologies. Essential Skills Knowledge and working experience with MySQL and MariaDB. Experience with the operation and maintenance of the databases on Linux systems and on external shared storages e.g NetApp, Ceph, NFS. Working knowledge of Backup and Recovery RTO,RPO, Disaster Recovery, Performance Tuning, Database InstallationUpgradeConfigurationOptimization Research, test, evaluate and recommend database solutions. Knowledge and working experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Some experience on Automate deployment by using Ansible or Chef would be desirable. Expert knowledge and significant work experience of Linux OS RHEL 78, SLES and derivatives. Knowledge with Software defined storages like CEPH would be desirable. Very good IT systems design skills Very good ability in writing technical documentation in English. Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects on critical IT infrastructure. Providing timely analysis and resolution of issues reported by level 2 support team. An advancedlevel command of English and an ability to present output in a clear, concise and understandable way, both orally and in writing Proactive approach and lead on the technical response to problems. Requirements analysis and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently. Good communication, team oriented and mediation skills. Ability to work independently on assigned projects or other tasks and respect the deadlines. Willing to work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department, and company goals. Desirable Skills Experience with VMware vSphere, HPE ProLiant servers or Simplivity. Some programmingscripting experience, preferable Python or Perl.
