Initally developed for peripheral IV dressings, BeneHold™ CHG technology combines acrylic solvent-based adhesive with hydrophilic Chlorhexidine Gluconate (CHG) antimicrobial agent. Dressing can absorb small quantities of exudate and remain transparent, even when absorbing fluid. In vitro data has demonstrated >4 log reduction on major microorganisms responsible for infections, including such antibiotic-resistant bacteria as MRSA, VRE, and CRE.
