It continues to cut down its natural gas operations, which will increase its oil operations from the total production mix. Chesapeake Energy closed the deal of selling its assets in Southern Marcellus Shale and a portion of its assets in Eastern Utica Shale to Southwestern Energy for a lower amount than previously stated before by $400 million so that the total sale price was $4.975 billion.
