Huffington Post: Since President Obama's trip to Africa, attention has continued to focus on energy development in Tanzania -- including the nomination of a White House insider as U.S. Ambassador. In his June 30 speech in South Africa, Obama announced the "Power Africa" pledge of $7 billion, with another $9 billion of private money over five years to double access to electricity in the six sub-Saharan countries of Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria and Tanzania, as well as separate deals with Uganda and Mozambique...
